PSP Phat USB Charge mod
This is a pretty easy mod to do since you've only got to solder 1 wire at 2 points. I have not included a disassembly tutorial because if you can't disassemble your PSP then you have no business soldering on it's motherboard. I am not responsible if YOU eff up YOUR PSP.

With all that out of the way, it's time to gather up all your supplies.
1X wire (I prefer network cable wires for stuff like this. They're small, braided, and high quality. Kynar wire would probably work just fine but IMO it's much better for LED triggers. I always keep network cable wires around because they're great for rewiring Guitar Hero controllers. They have all the same color wires as the controllers have buttons and also a brown for ground. Perfect.)
1X soldering iron
1X solder (I like RadioShack's .015 Silver Bearing solder)
1X soldering flux (since the silver bearing solder isn't rosin core)
1X knife/razor blade
----------------
So we'll be working on the backside of the mobo here. Flip it over and arrange it the same way as it is in the picture so you don't get flipped around and then solder in the wrong place. It's happened to the best of us.
Go ahead and tin the wire with some flux and lightly dab some solder on that connection
----------------
That was easy. Now flip the motherboard over and solder onto the pin shown for the power plug. As a word of warning, don't spend too much time with the soldering iron here and definitely don't bump while the solder is flowing. That little pin you're soldering to is not held onto the motherboard by much at all.

Now just get it all back together and you should be charging via USB now. Because someone will inevitably ask, I don't know what happens if you plug in AC power while USB charging. I don't see much of a point to doing it either, but...
